Columbus bagel shop hopes everything turns out right after COVID-19 pandemic

Block’s Bagels has been a staple in the Columbus community for 53 years at its 6115 McNaughten Road location. Though customers continue to support, Steve Block, co-owner of the family-owned bagel shop, said business has reduced due to the pandemic.

“Customers don’t really want to come out, but some still do,” Block said. “People still eat and we’re open like everyone else. We do carry-out, delivery and curbside. It’s just been a big change in everything. We’ve cut our expenses and our staff. Hopefully, we can pass this and things go back to normal. But no one can tell when that is going to be at the moment.”

Though the number of customers has been reduced, Block said he still sees regulars showing their support.
